Last night, the MTV Movie Awards were held and all the young starlets/celebs turned out for the red carpet.  One of the more edgy red carpets, There were alot of hits and misses in regards to fashion throughout the night but there were a few brands that were well represented.  Case and point: Balmain.  Leighton Meester, Mila Kunis, and Kirsten Stewart all wore dresses from the label which has recently changed creative directors.  The label, which is now being helmed by Olivier Rousteing instead of Christophe Decarnin, recently announced that they will be releasing a diffusion line.

Lily Collins and Rosie Huntington chose Dolce and Gabbana for the red carpet.  The label has been a staple on street style blogs and red carpets all over the world because of it’s white lace frocks that they presented for Spring 2011 but both Lily and Rosie chose print dresses. The diffusion label of the brand, D&G was also well represented with Elle Fanning and Reese Witherspoon sporting looks from the label.
Jessica Szohr and Aimee Teegarden both chose Alice + Olivia doe their red carpet looks.  Many couldn’t tell that both were by the same label and widely criticized Szohr for her paisley printed jumpsuit while praising Aimee for her colorful frock.
